Good double strollers are even more difficult to find than singles, because doubles have to seat two children, and at the same time they must be easy to walk around with. Consequently, the doubles market is packed with promising attempts, that fall short of greatness, outright failures, and a few, absolutely amazing products.
I was intrigued by what I heard about the features the ZOE XL2 Double Stroller has to offer, and I wanted to find out which category it fitted into. So I wrote this ZOE XL2 BEST Xtra Lightweight Double Stroller Review, to help buyers decide on whether its right for them.
Features of the ZOE XL2 BEST Xtra Lightweight Double Stroller
ZOE XL2 BEST Xtra Lightweight Double Stroller is designed to meet the needs of the consumers. After hours of research, testing and analyzing the features, we put ZOE XL2 Double Stroller is a one of the best in our double stroller List.
The problem with many strollers, is that while they fit two children in, it’s often a cramped environment, which leads to uncomfortable and noisy children. Fortunately they’ve removed a lot of the space between the seats, which didn’t perform a function anyway, so there is a increased room.
Despite the extra space provided for the children, the XL2 will still roll through most doorways, making it a very practical and functional option for parents.
The ZOE XL2 Double Stroller weight is only 16 pounds, which makes it one of the lightest strollers currently available. Nobody likes afternoons out with the children to be stressful and physical draining, so the lightweight stroller design of the XL2, will be a welcome inclusion for many parents.
The seats are made out of very strong 600D fabric, so it will not be torn by infants easily, and will last a very long time. This is the kind of thing you get on a designer stroller, and they’ve also used strong aluminium on the frame for even better durability.
These are excellent features, because when making strollers, company’s often use heavier material, thereby adding weight for durability. With the XL2 they’ve found the perfect middle ground, where both durability and low weight have been achieved.
One of the problems parents experience on strollers is that when the canopy is folded down, it often touches the wheels, causing wear and tear, over time. The design here doesn’t allow for this, so it’ll last longer, and it’s also super easy to fold down.
The canopy can stand on its own, but some advice to buyers would be to lock the wheels prior to folding. The canopy looks to be made well, would protect children from the suns rays, and most importantly, will keep them dry if a shower comes.
Easy to Control
Most parents don’t have two hands free; they may want to use the phone, and especially on hot days, they need to drink. The ZOE XL2 Double Stroller is designed to be pushed with only one hand, making multi-tasking easier.
One can tell, they’ve spent a lot of time on ease of operation; the wheels are swivelling, so going around corners is very simple, and the tires are thick, so flats are not a common occurrence.
I’ve had a lot of trouble with harnesses in the past and they are a significant issue on many strollers, but the ones on the XL2, are easy to see, easy to fasten, and strong enough to hold children in place. This is something that I’m sure will please many parents.
Lots of Extra’s
The ZOE XL2 Double Stroller comes with a variety of extras such as a travel bag, one cup holder for the children, another one for the adult, a snack tray, and a padded bar for extra safety. The bar goes across the children’s laps, keeping them secure at all times.
It could have been a little more flexible for greater movement, but overall this is a safety feature, and I’m happy with it. The Cup holders aren’t flimsy, like on other strollers, where they’re the first part to break, and although I’d like to have seen a bigger snack tray, most strollers don’t even have one, so I can’t complain.
Achieving a low weight and great durability is a difficult thing to do, and one is often sacrificed for the other, but the XL2 has both. I must give it top marks for this, and the fabric on the seats is exquisite too. The extra’s are pretty good, although the bar across the seat, could have been more flexible, but this is a small thing.
Especially when the XL2 is so easy to control, has a great canopy, and is so spacious. The Verdict: An Excellent Buying Choice.
